בשבוע שעבר, מיקרוסופט ערכה בישראל את Go Open Source 2018, הכנס השנתי לעולמות הקוד הפתוח שהתארח בתל אביב זו השנה השנייה. לכנס הגיעו למעלה מ-600 מפתחים ואנשי מקצוע, וזה לא מובן מאליו בהתחשב בהיסטוריה הלא רחוקה של מיקרוסופט בעולמות ה- Linux.
במסגרת האירוע, הגיע להרצאת ה-Keynote חוזה מיגל פרארה, ה-Open Source Program Manager של ענן ה-Azure ברדמונד.
חוזה והצוות של Azure בחרו בישראל בכדי להשיק את השירות החדש Azure Container Instance –עדות לכך שמיקרוסופט העולמית רואה ערך רב בקהילת הקוד הפתוח בישראל. השירות הינו שירות הענן הראשון שהגיע ל-General Availability ומאפשר כבר עכשיו פריסה מיידית של Containers לענן כך שכל הניהול יתבצע על ידי Azure ובתצורת Serverless מלאה: למעשה, ניתן לפרוס Containers בשורת פקודה אחת, מבלי להרים Orchestrators כמו קוברנטיס או לדאוג ל-Scale ו-Security. ההכרזה זמינה בלינק הבא - Microsoft Developer.
בנוסף, הציגו בכנס מגוון רחב של טכנולוגיות מעולמות ה-Data & AI, בלוקצ'יין, Containers, Infrastructure as Code וכו'
חברות Global ISV וסטרטאפים מהארץ ומהעולם, דוגמת Red Hat , Cloudera HashiCorp AQUA, SUSE Linux, Cloudify לצד מיטב הארכיטקטים ואנשי המקצוע בישראל מטעם Matrix - מטריקס, GRTH ,סלע, 500Tech ו- CloudingNow.
